1. Introduction

Ceeview server and agents supports running on a virtual or hardware platform using either Windows or Linux operating system.

Ceeview server requires access to a database, either Microsoft Sqlserver or PostgreSQL, for storing metric series.

The database should preferably run on remote server though locally on server hosting CeeviewServer will also work, minimum hardware requirements assume the database runs remotely.

2. Minimum platform requirements

  • Ceeview Enterprise Server
    • 16 GB Memory
    • 4 kernels
    • 100 GB Disk (available to Ceeview)
    • OS
      • Windows server 2008 or higher
      • Linux - recent of releases of major Linux distros are supported
    • Database
      • SQL Server 2008 or later
      • PostgreSql 13 or later
  • Ceeview Measuring Station
    • min. 2-4 GB Memory
    • 2 kernels
    • 50 GB Disk (available to Ceeview)
    • OS
      • Windows 7 or later
      • Linux - recent of releases of major Linux distros are supported

NB!

CeeviewServer will by default use up to 25% of physical memory available, the server’s properties file can be used to change memory usage.

CeeviewAgent as a Ceeview Measuring Station uses by default between 64 and 256MB memory, please use the agent’s properties file to change memory usage.

CeeviewAgent used as a parent agent (for instance as a DMZ agent), uses by default up to 25% of physical memory available, the agents’s properties file can be used to change memory usage.
